Job description

Westford Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our 24/7 emergency and referral hospital in Westford, MA. Since our founding in 2012, we've been a trusted provider of emergency and advanced veterinary medicine in the region. Our highly skilled team is dedicated to collaboration and delivering the highest standard of care in the industry.

As an Emergency Veterinarian with us, you'll enjoy a three-day work week with a competitive base salary plus production earning potential, all while being part of a supportive team that celebrates success and focuses on delivering innovative medicine.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with various 8a-8p inpatient or receiving, 10a-10p and 12p-12a receiving, and rare overnights to support the schedule
• No on-call duties

Clinical Impact & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care medicine for companion animals, primarily dogs and cats, through thoughtful medical and surgical treatment
• Partner closely with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary clinical team and maintain strong communication with referring veterinarians
• Contribute to a culture of learning and clinical excellence by participating in continuing education, training, and professional development opportunities

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $170,000-$200,000 (based on experience)
• $50,000 sign-on bonus

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent
• Internship trained or min 1 year ER experience (may consider new grad or less experience if the right fit)
• Ability to obtain veterinary licensure in Massachusetts
