A privately owned, doctor-led emergency hospital in The Colony, TX is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its growing team.

Choose Your Schedule

• Day Emergency Veterinarian
• 7:00 AM-8:00 PM
• Typically finishing around 7:30 PM
• No overnight shifts
• Consistent daytime schedule
• Night Emergency Veterinarian
• 7:00 PM-8:00 AM
• Dedicated overnight schedule
• No regular rotation onto daytime shifts

Full-time: 3 shifts per week

Part-time: 1-2 shifts per week also available

The hospital prioritises consistent scheduling, allowing veterinarians to remain on their preferred day or night shift rather than regularly rotating.

This is a true emergency medicine role, with a varied and challenging caseload including:

• GDVs and major trauma
• Hit-by-car and bite/fight injuries
• Working/police dog injuries
• Emergency surgeries
• Medical emergencies
• Post-operative complications
• Hospitalised/boarding patients

The hospital also offers advanced emergency capabilities including endoscopy, blood transfusions, oxygen therapy, ultrasound, advanced imaging and CT.

You’ll have access to modern diagnostic and treatment equipment, dedicated surgical facilities, isolation facilities and an established referral network with local GP and urgent-care hospitals.

Modern Emergency Facility

You’ll join a modern, purpose-built emergency hospital designed around efficient patient flow and high-quality medicine.

Facilities include:

• Multiple examination rooms
• Dedicated surgical facilities
• Advanced diagnostic equipment
• Isolation and feline patient areas
• Staff and bereavement facilities
• Conference space and fully equipped kitchen
• Modern electronic medical records and treatment systems

The hospital provides strong nursing support, including:

• 3+ technicians per weekday shift
• Approximately 5-6 technicians per doctor on weekends
• Experienced emergency nursing staff
