Job summary

Revive Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital in Texas seeks an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to provide immediate and comprehensive care to animals in critical conditions, including trauma and acute illness.

You will perform exams, diagnose, treat, and perform emergency procedures, coordinate with specialists, communicate with clients compassionately, and maintain detailed records in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD degree and Texas licensure to practice in Texas.
  • Strong emergency medicine knowledge and clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced ER environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Emergency Veterinarian will provide immediate and comprehensive care to animals experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. This role requires strong diagnostic and treatment skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a commitment to client communication. Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities
  • Evaluating and treating animals presenting with a variety of emergencies, including trauma, acute illnesses, and critical conditions.
  • Performing physical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, and developing treatment plans.
  • Performing emergency procedures, such as CPR, airway management, and wound care.
  • Administering medications and providing supportive care.
  • Collaborating with other veterinarians and specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses with empathy and clarity.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records.
  • Working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to perform abdominal and cardiac ultrasound is a huge plus.
  • The ability to perform ER surgeries is preferred
State-of-the-Art Facility:
  • High-speed CT scanner with cardiac capabilities (full body scan in under 2 minutes).
  • Separate flexible endoscopy system and fluoroscopy units for ER DVMs
  • Separate ultrasonography equipment for abdominal and cardiac imaging.
  • Fluoroscopy with a minimally invasive surgical suite
  • Dedicated suites for minimally invasive orthopedic, general orthopedic, and soft tissue surgeries.
  • Advanced surgical equipment, including ForceTriad, monopolar, and vessel-sealing devices.
  • Integrated ICU and anesthesia units.
  • Separation between cat and dog ICUs
  • State-of-the-art oxygen cages.
  • Anesthesia units with integrated ventilators.
  • Separate gastrointestinal and respiratory isolation units.
  • Cloud-based software with integration to other systems in the hospital
