Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health's Veterinary Referral Center in Malvern, PA is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian for a full-time role. You will join a team of specialists delivering emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload.

Schedule features three 12-hour shifts per week, with two swing shifts and one night shift; we offer competitive base salary, sign-on/relocation options, CE allowance, and strong mentorship within a collaborative hospital culture.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• Rotating internship or ER experience preferred.
• Experience in emergency or critical care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent cases.
• Stabilize patients and perform emergency procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure compassionate care.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, with an average of two swing shifts and one night shift per week

Swing shift hours are 12pm - 12am and our night shift hours are 8pm - 8am

Ideal for any emergency practitioners within the Ethos network looking to deepen their expertise in emergency practice. This path lets you stay in your current Ethos network hospital, enjoying your full wages and benefits while practicing at an Ethos hospital and pursuing board certification.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• - Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.


• - Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.


• - Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.


• - Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.


• - Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.


• - Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.

What You Bring

• - DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.


• - Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred (or equival
