Job summary

National Veterinary Associates invites you to join a fast-paced emergency veterinary team in Malvern, PA. This full-time role offers three 12-hour shifts per week, including two swing shifts and one night shift, with a supportive mentorship culture and access to advanced diagnostics.

You’ll collaborate with board-certified veterinarians, deliver high-quality emergency care to companion animals, and grow professionally within Ethos network hospitals that value teamwork and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and eligibility for state licensure.
  • Rotating internship or EM experience preferred.
  • Experience in emergency surgeries is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

Full-Time Opportunity in Malvern, Pennsylvania

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, with an average of two swing shifts and one night shift per week

Swing shift hours are 12pm - 12am and our night shift hours are 8pm - 8am

In your day-to-day, you will:

What You Bring
  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred (or equivalent clinical experience).
  • Experience in emergency surgeries or interest in learning emergency surgeries preferred.
  • Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
  • A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine.
