Ethos Veterinary Health, part of the NVA Group, is seeking experienced emergency veterinarians for Mission & Overland Park Veterinary Emergency & Specialty in Kansas. You’ll join a respected hospital network focused on excellence in emergency and critical care across a diverse caseload.

You will deliver high-quality emergency care, triage and manage hospitalized patients, and collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship, 2 years of ER experience or 3 years of GP experience.
• Confidence managing emergency cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and client-centered approach.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to patient care.
• Passion for continuous learning and teamwork in emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care with triage and hospitalization management.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams for compassionate care.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture through mentorship and collaboration.

Full-time opportunity in Mission & Overland Park, Kansas
Schedule: 12-14, 12-hour shifts per month

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship, 2 years of ER experience or 3 years of GP experience
