Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health, part of the NVA Group, is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join the Mission and Overland Park, Kansas team. You will deliver high‑quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals, while triaging and guiding patients through treatment with a collaborative care team.

This full‑time role emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and ongoing learning in a network of specialty and emergency hospitals.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship, 2 years of ER experience or 3 years of GP experience.
• Ability to manage emergency cases and make rapid clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new cases, triaging, and managing hospitalized patients.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide compassionate care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful situations.

In your day‑to‑day, you will:

• Deliver high‑quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
