Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health’s Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center (SOVSC) in Central Point, OR, seeks an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our fast-paced team. You’ll provide high-quality emergency and critical care, work with specialists, and contribute to a collaborative hospital culture within Ethos.

We offer a competitive compensation package with base pay plus production bonus potential and relocation/sign-on support.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and eligibility for state licensure.
• Experience practicing emergency medicine or rotating internship preferred.
• Strong communication skills and client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent conditions.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams for seamless care.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred (or equivalent clinical experience).
• Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
