Job summary

Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our Thrive Pet Healthcare team in Lynwood, Washington. You’ll deliver real-time care, triage and collaborate with a team to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent degree required and licensed in good standing in the state of employment.
  • Active DEA license or eligibility is required.
  • Experience in emergency medicine or an emergency internship is highly recommended.

  • Provide emergency care for sick and injured patients and manage hospitalized cases.
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with technicians.
  • Perform surgeries and deliver critical care with a focus on high-quality patient outcomes.

Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle is looking for a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Lynwood, Washington.

Our progressive compensation model is designed to reward your impact, offering a competitive base salary alongside production opportunities—with no negative accrual.

You’ll provide emergency care for sick and injured patients while also managing hospitalized cases. You’ll assess and diagnose patients, develop and oversee treatment plans, and partner closely with technicians to ensure high-quality execution of care. Your work will include performing surgeries, delivering critical care, and maintaining an exceptional standard of service for every patient who enters our emergency department.

About Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle

We are an AAHA‑accredited, multi‑specialty practice in Lynnwood, Washington, located just north of Seattle. We are a teaching hospital and are ideally seeking ER Veterinarians who want to give back and participate in the mentorship and teaching of new ER Veterinarians.

We are open 24/7 with outstanding ER and specialty services, including Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Critical Care, Neurology, Oncology, Radiology, and Surgery.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • State Veterinary Board License:
    • Active and in good standing for the state of intended employment
    • Obtained prior to start date
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
  • Experience in emergency medicine or completion of small animal rotating or emergency internships is highly recommended
Compensation

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual PROSAL full-time range starting at $200,000/year. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
