Red Bank Veterinary Hospital – Hillsborough, part of Ethos, is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our state‑of‑the‑art hospital in Hillsborough, NJ. You will deliver high‑quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals, collaborating with clinicians and staff.

The role offers a competitive base production range of $170,000–$180,000 plus a sign‑on bonus up to $20,000, with three 12‑hour shifts per week (days, swing, overnights) and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree eligible for state licensure.
  • Completion of rotating internship or emergency medicine experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and client‑centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.

Full-Time Opportunity in Hillsborough, New Jersey

Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts per week (Day, Swing, Overnights)

Shift hours are: 8am – 8pm (Day), 10am – 10pm (Swing) and 8pm – 8am (Overnight)

In your day‑to‑day, you will:
  • Deliver high‑quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence‑based medicine.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team‑focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is highly preferred (or equivalent clinical experience).
  • Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client‑centered approach.
