Animal Emergency Clinic (AEC) in Grand Terrace, California is expanding its ER team with a lucrative, full-time opportunity. The role offers a base salary of $220,000–$250,000 plus 24% production, a $150,000 sign-on bonus, and 100% relocation assistance.

Schedule: Overnight and rotating ER shifts as we grow toward 24/7 coverage. AEC provides a modern, AAHA-accredited facility with in-house diagnostics and collaborative care teams.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with California licensure eligibility.
• Rotating internship or ER experience preferred.
• Ability to manage emergency cases in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
• Help support AEC's continued growth as the hospital expands toward 24/7 emergency coverage.

In your day-to-day, you will:

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for California veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred, or equivalent clinical experience.
• Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in performing emergency surgical procedures; mentorship is available for veterinarians who would like additional surgical development and support.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine.
