Job description

Emergency Veterinarian in Clarksville, TN

Schedule: Full Time or Part Time, rotating schedule

Since opening in 2020, Clarksville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (CVES) has grown into a trusted emergency and specialty hospital serving Clarksville and the surrounding communities. We are proud to offer a collaborative, team-focused environment where doctors can practice excellent medicine, continue to grow clinically, and build meaningful relationships with the people they work alongside.

Our ER doctors have direct access to a collaborative team of Emergency, Internal Medicine, and Surgery clinicians onsite, with additional specialty support through our sister hospital in Nashville. This network provides access to a broad range of specialty expertise and allows for seamless consultation, case collaboration, and a truly multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

A Place to Grow, Wherever You Are in Your Career

Maybe you’ve been practicing emergency medicine for years.

Maybe you’ve completed an internship and are ready to build your career in ER.

Or maybe you’re a GP who has always been interested in emergency medicine but haven’t had the right opportunity to make the transition.

We can meet you where you are.

CVES offers growing internship and mentorship opportunities designed to help veterinarians build confidence, expand their skill set, and develop a long-term career in emergency medicine.

We want experienced doctors to share what they know while continuing to learn from the people around them. Whether you’re looking to deepen your ER experience or transition into emergency medicine, you’ll have a team invested in helping you grow.

Our 8,500-square-foot hospital is equipped to support advanced emergency and specialty care, including:

  • CT
  • Digital radiography
  • Echocardiography
  • Surgical capabilities
  • Onsite Internal Medicine and Surgery
We Care About the People Behind the Medicine

Emergency medicine is rewarding, but we know it can also be demanding.

That’s why we care about more than your clinical skills. We want you to have a career that is sustainable and a workplace where you feel respected, supported, and valued.

We prioritize work-life balance, clear communication, professional development, and a team environment where people look out for one another.

We’re building a hospital where you can grow your career without losing the parts of veterinary medicine that made you fall in love with it in the first place.

Location Highlight

Clarksville offers a welcoming, growing community with a lower cost of living, abundant outdoor recreation, and a vibrant local dining and entertainment scene, all while being just a short drive from Nashville. From hiking, kayaking, fishing, and biking to local restaurants, breweries, festivals, and live music, Clarksville offers plenty to explore both in and outside of work.
