Clarksville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (CVES) in Clarksville, TN is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join a collaborative team. Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred, but we are also open to experienced GPs interested in transitioning to ER.
• Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions.
• Triage incoming patients, receive new emergency cases, and manage hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Collaborate closely with Emergency, Internal Medicine, Surgery, technicians, and support teams to provide exceptional patient care.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Participate in mentorship, continuing education, and ongoing clinical development.

Since opening in 2020, Clarksville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (CVES) has grown into a trusted emergency and specialty hospital serving Clarksville and the surrounding communities. Our ER doctors have direct access to a collaborative team of Emergency, Internal Medicine, and Surgery clinicians onsite, with additional specialty support through our sister hospital in Nashville. This network provides access to a broad range of specialty expertise and allows for seamless consultation, case collaboration, and a truly multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
