Job description

We are working on behalf of a well established, high volume emergency and general practice hospital in Sacramento, CA that is looking to welcome an Emergency and Primary Care Veterinarian to its team.

This is a 24 hour hospital operating out of a 25,000 square foot, state of the art facility with a dedicated ICU, two surgical suites, two ultrasound units, a spacious treatment area, and sixteen exam rooms. The team has access to radiologist support for daily ultrasounds and a regularly scheduled cardiologist, along with a wider network of specialists.

This role offers a hybrid schedule split between emergency and primary care shifts, typically three to four shifts per week, giving you variety while maintaining a manageable caseload.

Sacramento is one of the most diverse cities in the country, sitting between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, and offers easy access to weekend getaways along with a fast growing local economy. About You:

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited university
• Licensure in good standing to practice in California, or the ability to obtain it
• Committed to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
• Comfortable working a hybrid schedule across emergency and primary care shifts
• A collaborative team player who enjoys teaching and learning from colleagues
