Job summary

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education in Albuquerque is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to provide excellent care for sick and injured patients. About You

You’ll provide excellent, in-the-moment care when patients need it most. You’ll hone your ability to triage and assess critical needs – with a team to back you with support – and lean on our community to shift in schedule or role.

  • Willingness to care for sick and injured patients who arrive on an emergency basis, along with managing hospitalized patients
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans
  • Oversee technicians who are carrying out plans
  • Perform surgeries, provide critical care, and ensure a high level of service for all patients

Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • State Veterinary Board License:
    • Active and in good standing for the state of intended employment
    • Obtained prior to start date
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
  • Experience in emergency medicine, including work experience, small animal rotating or emergency internships, is strongly recommended.
