Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team in the Los Angeles area. You will provide gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.

You will collaborate with doctors and VEG teammates, delivering care from triage to discharge while growing your skills and contributing to a fast-paced ER environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state.
• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience; emergency experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care and emotional support from first triage to discharge.
• Assist with meds, IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions.
• Communicate with team to shape plans and keep care flowing.
• Perform CPR when needed and leverage available training.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Assist anesthesia for patients as needed; use advanced techniques.
