Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Glendale, WI seeks an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician for our ER/ICU department. You will induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, and perform radiography, CT, endoscopy, and ultrasound as needed.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, interpreting data, initiating CPR when required, and mentoring team members while maintaining client empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Emergency veterinary technician with ER/ICU experience.
• Proficient in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Ability to triage emergencies and monitor vitals.
• Experience with imaging modalities and procedures.
• Strong mentoring and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Triage emergencies and record vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper positioning.
• Assist with CT, endoscopy, and ultrasonography.
• Interpret vital signs and alert veterinarians.
• Identify arrest risk and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical dosages and administer meds.
• Place IV catheters and perform phlebotomy.
• Place feeding tubes, drains, PICC/central lines.
• Mentor teammates and address client concerns.
• Stay current on CPR guidelines; ALS/BLS provided.
• Engage with clients with empathy and professionalism.
