Job summary

Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services (BSVESS) in Swansea, Massachusetts invites veterinary graduates to join a one-year Emergency Mentorship program. Participants will be mentored by experienced emergency clinicians and board-certified specialists, with the aim of transitioning to ER positions at full clinician compensation in collaboration with OSVS.

The program includes a guaranteed 2 days off per week, full health insurance, and licenses/dues coverage.

Qualifications

• Veterinary school graduates with an interest in emergency clinical practice.
• Graduates who are unsure about pursuing a residency or working in a high-quality GP with ER exposure.

Responsibilities

• One-year mentorship with structured skills and knowledge development and supervised emergency practice.
• Direct mentorship by experienced emergency clinicians and board-certified specialists.
• First 6 months include supervised ER/inpatient management, didactic activities, and soft skills training.
• Second 6 months involve functioning as an ER clinician alongside senior staff and weekly case reviews.
