Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some kennel or animal hospital experience preferred.
• May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/orexperience.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate care to pets.
• Feeds animals as prescribed by the attending Veterinarian or owner; records appetites and intake.
• Recognizes and reports any unusual conditions or abnormal behaviors and monitors pets for distress or disease.
• Assists Veterinarians and technicians with pet restraint.
• Maintains hospital cleanliness and sanitation; handles chemicals safely.
• Prioritizes tasks and maintains daily and weekly chore lists.
• Walks patients according to schedule; communicates with clients.
