Job summary

Island Tech Services is seeking an Upfit Installer to join our team in Warren, RI. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, and servicing upfitting components for emergency and specialty vehicles to enhance safety and functionality.

The ideal candidate has experience with automotive electronics and vehicle modifications, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards. Competitive pay and benefits are offered, with opportunities for ongoing training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical school preferred.
Experience with vehicle upfitting or automotive electronics preferred.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform custom installations of emergency lighting, sirens, radios, partitions, and other vehicle components.
Wire and test electronic components to ensure proper function and safety.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems as needed.
Follow established procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Document work performed, including parts used and time spent, in accordance with company and client requirements.
Collaborate with other technicians and team members to meet project deadlines.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and care for all tools and equipment.
Stay updated with the latest vehicle upfitting technology and best practices.
