Job summary

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center in Enola, PA, is seeking a Unit Secretary for Emergency Nursing Emergency Services. The role is PRN with varied hours and a small FTE (~0.001).

Evening/Night shift differentials apply and the schedule includes 7:00p–3:00a Mon–Wed and 11:00a–11:00p Thu. The position provides basic admin support, prepares patient and unit records, and ensures routine processes follow established procedures under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six (6) months secretarial and customer service experience required.
• AHA BLS required prior to end of orientation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience in a medical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic administrative support for a nursing unit.
• Prepare, compile and maintain patient and operational records.
• Follow standard procedures to achieve day-to-day objectives.
• Communicate with contacts within the work unit as needed.
