Job summary

GP Strategies Government Solutions is seeking an experienced Emergency Preparedness Training Facility Manager to oversee operations of training venues supporting first responders nationwide. You will manage day-to-day facility operations, coordinate instructor scheduling, and ensure venues support curriculum and exercises.

The role focuses on realistic training, incident management, and disaster preparedness, requiring strong organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing training facilities or similar operations.
• Experience coordinating instructor schedules and supporting training program delivery.
• Experience preparing, managing, and recovering training venues and facilities.
• Experience supporting complex training environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness, emergency management, public safety, homeland security, or related fields.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and operational management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government security or background investigations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of training facilities and venues supporting emergency preparedness programs.
• Coordinate instructor scheduling and facility utilization for training courses and exercises.
• Ensure training venues are configured to support curriculum and exercise requirements.
• Oversee preparation, setup, inspection, recovery, and reset of training facilities.
• Coordinate with instructors, staff, and leadership to ensure safe, effective training activities.
• Ensure training environments meet safety, quality, and contractual obligations.
• Support realistic training scenarios, simulations, and full-scale exercises for first responders.
• Monitor facility readiness and identify opportunities to enhance training efficiency.
• Assist with resource planning, scheduling, logistics, and operational reporting.
• Support programs on incident management, mass casualty, natural disasters, CBRNE, and terrorism preparedness.
