Job summary

Providence Tarzana Medical Center is seeking a qualified Emergency Services professional to perform basic emergency medical and trauma procedures under physician orders. You will care for patients of all ages and work within the hospital's policy framework, contributing to a mission of compassionate, patient-centered care.

The role requires current California EMT/Paramedic certifications and BLS, with a focus on teamwork and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensing/certification requirements for emergency medical care.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience.
• Minimum 1 year of current Emergency Services experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic emergency medical/trauma procedures as directed.
• Provide patient care to all ages per physician orders and policies.
• Support the clinical team in alignment with Providence mission and core values.

Reporting to the Emergency Services Nurse Manager, under the direction of Nursing or Patient Care Provider, performs basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care to patients and families of all ages as directed, in accordance with physician orders, hospital policy, scope and standards of practice. Required Qualifications

• Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License or,
• Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License or,
• Upon hire: California Paramedic License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
• 1 year Experience in acute care.
• 1 year Current Emergency Services experience (maybe concurrent with acute care experience).
