Job summary

Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA, seeks an Emergency Technician for a per-diem 12-hour night shift. You will perform basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care under physician orders and hospital policy, serving patients of all ages.

Required licenses include California EMT, EMT-Advanced or Paramedic, and National Provider BLS. Also must have Fire and Life Safety Card and at least 1 year of acute care and emergency services experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year Experience in acute care.
• 1 year Current Emergency Services experience (may be concurrent with acute care experience).

Responsibilities

• Performs basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care to patients of all ages as directed by physician orders and hospital policy.
• Reports to the Emergency Services Nurse Manager and aligns with the organization's mission and core values.

Reporting to the Emergency Services Nurse Manager, under the direction of Nursing or Patient Care Provider, performs basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care to patients and families of all ages as directed, in accordance with physician orders, hospital policy, scope and standards of practice. Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License or,

• 1 year Experience in acute care.
• 1 year Current Emergency Services experience (maybe concurrent with acute care experience).
