Job summary

Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in California is seeking a Per-Diem Emergency Technician for 12-hour day shifts. Under supervision, you will perform basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.

Minimum qualifications include a California EMT license (or advanced), Paramedic license, National Provider BLS, and a Fire/Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire. One year of acute care and ED experience is required.

Qualifications

• CA EMT-Advanced or Paramedic license required at hire
• National Provider BLS (AHA) required
• Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire
• 1 year of acute care experience required
• 1 year of current Emergency Services experience required (may be concurrent with acute care)

Responsibilities

• Provide basic emergency medical/trauma care per physician orders.
• Assist with patient care in the Emergency Department across all ages.
• Coordinate with nursing and providers to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Reporting to the Emergency Services Nurse Manager, under the direction of Nursing or Patient Care Provider, performs basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care to patients and families of all ages as directed, in accordance with physician orders, hospital policy, scope and standards of practice. Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License or,
• Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License or,
• Upon hire: California Paramedic License

• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
• 1 year Experience in acute care.
• 1 year Current Emergency Services experience (maybe concurrent with acute care experience).

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
