Job summary

Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA seeks an Emergency Department Technician to join our 12-hour evening shifts. This full-time role supports direct patient care and clerical duties in a high-volume ED.

Ideal candidates hold EMT licenses (minimum EMT-1), CA EMT license or higher, and BLS certification; hospital experience preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to contribute to our Magnet journey.

Qualifications

• Completion of EMT 1 Training program or equivalent.
• California EMT License required at hire.
• California EMT Advanced License required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Assist physicians and staff to maintain communication and positive patient outcomes.
• Perform clerical duties as needed to support department operations.
• Support a culture of teamwork and cost-effective care while maintaining safety.

Emergency Technician at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Full - Time and you will work 12-hour Evening shifts in this role.

The Emergency Department Technician supports the Mission and Vision of Saint John's Health Center.

This is achieved in their daily responsibilities of providing direct patient care and clerical support within the Emergency Room. Performance expectations and job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Demonstrate teamwork and initiative by cooperating and interacting with physicians, physician assistants, interdepartmental staff, patients and families to maintain communication resulting in positive patient outcomes.
• Maintains productivity by establishing priorities and practicing cost effective methods in the delivery of care and performing assigned duties.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of EMT 1 Training program, or equivalent educ/experience
• Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License, or
• Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License, or
• Upon hire: California Paramedic License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Pay Range: $25.00 - $31.18
