Qualifications

  • Military experience as medical personnel is acceptable.

Description


Emergency Technician at Providence Milwaukie Hospital is 0.9 FTE full time position working during weekdays and weekends on a night shift.


Works closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Assists the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure.

Required qualifications:



  • upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

  • upon hire: Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Annually.

  • 1 year Relevant experience; patient care or clinical experience preferred. Experience acquired during certification or licensure process, military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student is also considered.


Preferred qualifications:



  • upon hire: Current or previous EMT, Paramedic, Completion of Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate
