Job summary

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane is seeking an Emergency Department Assistant to support nursing staff under RN supervision and help implement the care plan for ED patients. You will apply basic nursing skills and participate in emergency care activities as delegated.

Required qualifications include WA Medical Assistant certification within 6 months of hire or WA MA phlebotomist certification; preferred qualifications include EMT/NAC/Medical Assistant and emergency care

Description

The Emergency Department Assistant functions within his/her scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan. S/he demonstrates an understanding of basic nursing skills and utilizes specialized knowledge, skills and techniques in Emergency care to perform and assist in performance of patient care in the Emergency Department.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
