Job summary

Edward Hospital in Naperville is seeking an Emergency Services Tech - Paramedic to join the ED team. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with an evening shift from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will work with RNs to deliver direct patient care, following established procedures to ensure safety, comfort and timely care. Illinois paramedic licensure and CPR certification are required, along with at least six months of paramedic experience.

Qualifications

• CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required.
• EMTP licensure (State of Illinois) required.
• Minimum six months of paramedic experience in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision and coordinate care with the team.
• Perform patient care tasks per established procedures to ensure safety and comfort.

Hourly Pay Range: $21.50 - $32.25 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do

To provide direct care to assigned patients, partnering with RN to coordinate activities. Under the supervision of the RN and according to established procedures patient care tasks and procedures as needed to provide care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross State of Illinois Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) licensure
• Experience: A minimum of six months of recent paramedic experience in the State of Illinois
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize and multitask, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
