Position Summary

The Emergency Services Technician Lab is an exciting opportunity on the MultiCare Off Campus Emergency Department team, offering a supportive role assisting practitioners with patient care and executing administrative and clinical procedures. Working in collaboration, you will ensure the best possible health care outcomes and patient experience.

FTE: 0.3, Shift: Evenings, Schedule: part-time evenings

Responsibilities
  1. You will perform direct patient care as directed.
  2. You will engage your critical thinking skills in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environment.
  3. Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
  4. Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
  5. Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain Washington State certification/licensure as a MA-P and NA-R within 90 days of placement in position.
  • Experience with phlebotomy and initiation of EKG; Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, EMT, or phlebotomist in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting within the last three years.
  • Current BLS Certification.

Pay and Benefits

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The pay scale ranges from $24.04 to $39.73 USD, influenced by factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and education. If this position is unionized, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale based on your years of experience.
