Job Summary
The Emergency Department (ED) Technician II provides patient services and care, maintains supplies and equipment, and applies infection control principles. The ED technician demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) necessary to serve the population and age group in the emergency department. They collect data reflecting patient status and report relevant information to licensed clinical staff, within their scope of practice. The ED Technician performs clerical, safety attendant, and other duties as assigned, receiving delegated work from registered nurses or medical staff as part of the care team.
Patient Care
Provides and documents assistance to patients under supervision.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
