Job summary

MultiCare Health System seeks an Emergency Services Technician Lab to support off-campus ED operations. You will assist practitioners with patient care and perform administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring safe, efficient care and positive patient interactions.

Emergency Services Technician Lab

FTE: 0.3, Shift: Nights (18:00 - 06:30), Schedule: 12‑hour shifts.

Position Summary: The Emergency Services Technician Lab is an exciting opportunity on the MultiCare Off‑Campus Emergency Department team, offering a supportive role assisting practitioners with patient care and executing administrative and clinical procedures. You will work in collaboration to ensure the best possible health care outcomes and patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care as directed.
• Engage critical thinking skills in maintaining a safe, therapeutic and aesthetic environment.
• Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care, promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain Washington State certification/licensure as a MA‑P and NA‑R within 120 days of placement in the position.
• Washington State C.N.A will substitute for the NA‑R; MA‑C will substitute for the MA‑P, NA‑R, and C.N.A certification/licensure.
• Experience with phlebotomy and initiation of EKG; Medical Assistant – Phlebotomist certification preferred.
• Previous experience as a CNA, NA‑R, corpsman, EMT or phlebotomist in an emergency department, pre‑hospital, or acute care setting within the last three years.
• Current BLS Certification.

Pay Scale: $24.78 – $37.71 USD, depending on skill set, level of experience, and certification(s).
