Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an ED Tech to join our Emergency Department. The team operates in a 14-bed ED with a 5:1 patient-to-staff ratio, handling a daily volume of 50–70 patients in a fast-paced setting.

This PRN role supports RNs by delivering bedside care and coordinating daily tasks. Ideal candidates hold an active NC CNA listing, with BLS certification and the ability to work varied shifts including days/nights/weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Current NC CNA listing; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Current CNA listing with no substantiated findings of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property in a nursing facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
