Job summary

University Hospitals seeks an Registered Nurse for Emergency Services to provide age-specific care using the nursing process. The role emphasizes relationship-based nursing, effective clinical collaboration, and leadership to improve outcomes.

Requirements include a Diploma/ADN with BSN/MN preferred, 1 year RN experience, OH license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS may be required by the unit. This is an evening shift (2 pm–2 am) with a $6000 sign-on for external candidates with 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Uses a variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed therapies.
1 year of RN experience required; Emergency Services experience strongly preferred.
Evening shift position: 2 pm – 2 am.
BLS required upon hire or during orientation.
ACLS and/or PALS may be required based on unit standards.

Responsibilities

Implements the nursing process by delivering relationship-based care.
Demonstrates technical skills in safe practice and positive outcomes.
Communicates clearly and collaborates to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
Develops self and contributes to professional nursing practice.
Displays leadership to influence clinical and operational outcomes.
Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to policies including PHI handling.
