Job Details:
Join Dayton Children’s Hospital as an Emergency Services Paramedic/ALS Transport in our Main Emergency Department. Make a significant impact in the lives of our patients and their families. Ideal for those passionate about delivering outstanding care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
This paramedic role provides emergency patient care in the ED and advanced life support (ALS) transport of pediatric patients when deemed appropriate. Transport duties will also include transporting psychiatric transports to outlying facilities. Down time will be spent supporting ED patient care or Comm Center functions during hours of assignment. All duties will be in accordance with the Ohio Public Safety Rules regarding location of care, supervision required and ALS transport scope of practice.

Education:

  • HSD/GED is required

Certification/Licensure:

  • State of Ohio Paramedic Certification is required
  • CPR/BLS is required
  • PALS is preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire
  • ACLS preferred at time of hire, but required within four weeks of hire
  • EVOC Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification is preferred at time of hire, but required within two weeks of hire
