Job Summary

As our Emergency Services Nurse at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you will help patients who require urgent medical attention so they can receive appropriate and timely care. Your main tasks include assessing patients, prioritizing care, and providing treatment for a variety of medical emergencies. You will work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge, or admit patients.
• Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed.
• Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs.
• Document nursing care plans and changes in the patient's condition.
• Engage in activities that benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives and mentoring.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or foreign equivalent.
• One year acute care RN experience.
• Valid compact state or Arizona RN license.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification.
• American Heart Association Advanced Pediatric Life Support certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (except for ED Connect designated RNs within one year in the position).
• Demonstrated competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six months of position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Nursing or foreign equivalent.
• Three years ED or Critical Care experience.

Schedule and Location

Scheduled shifts and training will be at East and West Campus.

Pay Range

$43.6968 - $43.6968 /hour
