Edward-Elmhurst Health in Arlington Heights, IL seeks an Emergency Services Care Assistant/Unit Secretary for the ED on a per diem basis. Shift is from 7pm to 7am, with every other weekend required.

Under RN supervision, you will assist the ED team, provide direct patient care, and handle clerical and support tasks as needed. Responsibilities include supporting nursing and medical staff, performing procedures not governed by licensure, and coordinating with environmental services to ensure

Qualifications

• High school level education required.
• Certification options include CNA, Paramedic, nursing student with six months clinical, EMT with at least one year field experience, or ED Technicians with two years current experience.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Report to the ED Manager and assist/ support ED and Treatment Center nursing and medical staff in patient care.
• Under RN supervision, provide direct patient care and perform non-licensed technical/medical procedures.
• Assist in directing unit environmental aide for supply availability and perform clerical, stocking, or cleaning duties as needed.
