Job summary

VCA West Coast Specialty & Emergency Animal Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician at our Fountain Valley, CA location. The role involves 4 x 10-hour shifts (Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat) with a competitive hourly salary and several differentials for swing and overnight shifts.

The successful candidate will bring CVT/RVT/LVT credentials and a passion for compassionate client service, supporting doctors and technicians in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a veterinary technician credential (CVT/RVT/LVT).
• Emergency/critical care experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and patient assessment.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture and catheter placement.
• Radiology and anesthesia monitoring.
• Surgical preparation and assisting.
• Laboratory work and pharmacy tasks.
• Patient recovery and compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist doctors and technicians.
