Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a dedicated Emergency Room Throughput Flow Coordinator RN to optimize patient movement in the ED. You will align staffing, triage, and clinical resources to ensure timely, safe, patient-centered care.

You’ll lead collaboration with physicians, nurses, and care teams, provide clinical guidance, and help remove barriers to efficient transitions, while upholding safety and quality priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• RN registered nurse (RN) required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and transfers.
• Align staffing plans with patient volume and acuity.
• Monitor delays in care transitions and propose solutions.
• Support safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers.
• Provide clinical guidance and escalation support as needed.

As the Emergency Room RN Throughput Coordinator for ED, you will play a key role in ensuring patients move through the Emergency Department with clarity, clinical support, and thoughtful coordination. By aligning staffing, patient placement, and clinical resources,you’llhelp teams deliver care that is organized, safe, and patient‑centered. And in moments of urgency and complexity, your leadership will keep caregivers connected, supported, and focused on their mission to care for and improve human life.

Your role will include:

• Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
• Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
• Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions
• Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes
• Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers
• Providingclinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed
