Description:

Sign-on bonus available! Full-time (30-40 hours) and Part-Time (20-29 hours) ER Techs are eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $3,500! Inquire about eligibility and details!

Position Purpose

At Saint Francis Hospital, the ER Tech provides direct patient care in the Emergency Room and assists medical providers and licensed nurses.

What you will do
  • Provide for personal care and safety needs of patients
  • Provide for nutrition and elimination needs of patients
  • Perform specific procedures according to patient plan of care
  • Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and hospital staff
  • Maintain a safe unit environment, supplies, and equipment to facilitate patient care
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Experience as EMT-B, Medical Assistant, or Certified Nursing Assistant with acute care preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Ability to read, write, speak English, and perform basic math
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check
Position Highlights and Benefits
  • Must be available for 6-10 weeks of ED training/orientation
  • Must pass dysrhythmia training course to maintain position
  • Part-time, 24 hours evening shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with every other weekend/holiday as scheduled
