Emergency Room Technician Full Time Nights

Position Overview

At Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center, a primary stroke center, and a pediatric receiving facility. The unit has 46 beds, including 8 emergency behavioral health beds. You will engage with staff, build relationships, and develop diverse nursing skills.

Employment Details

Type: Full-time

Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift

Responsibilities

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, participate in shared decision-making, and practice autonomously using nurse-driven protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Connecticut EMT-B license (NREMT-B considered until license obtained). Acceptable licenses: EMT, AEMT, EMTI. EMR license not accepted.
• CNA or Medical Assistant Certification
• BLS or CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks

Preferred Skills

• 1-3 years of Emergency Services experience, ED experience preferred

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 36 hours, Night shift 7pm - 7:30am
