Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas.

Essential Job Functions

• Collect, report, and document clinical data, including vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry, and specimen collection.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing according to policies and regulations.
• Assist with patient activities and care as assigned by the charge nurse/designee.
• Provide superficial wound care.
• Ensure patient safety related to age and condition.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment, following aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
• Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.

Other Job Functions

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures.
• Maintain supplies in patient care areas.
• Assist with patient restraints and monitor patient and family behavior.
• Travel to all facility locations as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of relevant medical training or experience as specified, such as EMT, Paramedic, CNA, or Nursing student with applicable experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS/ALS certifications are preferred in most markets.
• PALS certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience with IV starts, phlebotomy, and EKG initiation is a plus.
• Fluency in English, both written and oral.
