Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking an Emergency Technician to join the Emergency Department team at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

The role supports RNs and the ED, offering a structured schedule of 7p–7a and pay in the range of $17.50–$24.50 per hour with potential shift differentials. Education requirements include CNA, LPN, or EMT certification, with BLS certification also required.

Qualifications

• CNA, LPN, or EMT certification valid in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs and the emergency team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a calm, confident, and caring presence in a high-stress ED.

Pay Range:
$17.50 - $24.50
A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Emergency Technicians work closely with RNs and the rest of the emergency team to provide high-quality patient care and a calming confident and caring presence in the potentially high-stress and fast-paced emergency department.

Eligible to work as a Nursing Assistant in the hospital and/or home health care agency as listed on the state Nurse Aide Registry LPN licensed in the state of practice or Emergency Medical Technician certified in state of practice.
