GENERAL SUMMARY: Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of a registered nurse or Provider.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

  • BCLS certification required.

  • Previous Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience preferred.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: One of the following certifications/programs is required: B-EMT, Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program, Completion of a formal nursing education program, Completion of a formal medical doctor education program OR One (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience in lieu of above completed certification/program. (Must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire).



  • Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period required.

  • EMT license preferred.
