Job summary

Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center is seeking staff to assist with patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will help meet the communication needs of patients and families, prepare nursing unit records, and follow directions from physicians and nursing staff.

Participation in performance improvement activities is required. Qualifications include EMT/CNA/ER tech preferred, CPI de-escalation training, current BLS, a high school diploma, and bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA or ER tech preferred.
• De-escalation CPI training within six months of employment.
• Current BLS required or obtained upon hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Competency checklist must be completed prior to being able to start IVs.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.
• Prepares and compiles records on the nursing unit.
• Initiates directions from physicians and nursing staff.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
