Job summary

Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee, part of Covenant Health, seeks an Emergency Department Tech to assist nurses and providers in a fast-paced ED. You will perform hands-on care, monitor vitals, and coordinate communications on the unit.

The role requires CPR and relevant licensure or certification (EMT, HUC, LPN, MA, or CNA). You will stock rooms, prepare wounds, assist with triage, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• CPR is required for all candidates.
• Experience as EMT, HUC, LPN, MA or CNA/CPC is preferred or licensure required.
• Must be able to meet licensure or certification requirements at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update the ED tracking board to communicate with staff.
• Document and maintain patient records and vital signs.
• Take vitals (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP, SpO2) and record I&O.
• Assist with wound care, splints, immobilizers and ambulation as needed.
• Support providers during exams and procedures in the ED.
• Assist with triage, patient transport and equipment setup.
