Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Endoscopy in California. The RN will prepare patients for procedures, assist during endoscopic interventions, manage medications and moderate sedation, and monitor recovery to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

This on-site role requires an ASN with RN license, BLS certification, and relevant endoscopy or GI experience; a BSN, ACLS, and sedation certification are preferred by many facilities.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS and Moderate Sedation certifications preferred or per facility policy.
• Recent Endoscopy/GI lab or procedural nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assess patients before endoscopic procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to sedation.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and moderate sedation as appropriate.
• Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, and patient education.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.

The RN prepares patients for procedures, assists physicians during endoscopic interventions, administers medications including moderate sedation as appropriate, monitors patient status, and provides post-procedure recovery care while ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Moderate Sedation certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent Endoscopy, GI Lab, PACU, ICU, ER, or procedural nursing experience preferred.
