Job summary

Carthage Area Hospital is seeking a part-time Emergency Room Registered Nurse for evening shifts (3:00 PM–3:30 AM) in Carthage, NY. The department treats about 12,000 patients yearly with a fast, efficient ER and strong collaboration with regional stroke care providers.

Requirements include NYS RN license, 1 year ED/critical care experience, and BLS; ACLS/PALS within six months. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Current NYS license required.
• One year of critical care or ED experience.
• BLS and ACLS/PALS to be obtained/maintained within six months of hire.
• TNCC and ENPC certifications recommended.
• CEN certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department.
• Deliver care with initiative, flexibility and professional responsibility.
• Prioritize care based on patient needs and flow in the ED.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ED physicians.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition or treatment outcomes.
