Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Irvine Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead a health care team and deliver professional nursing care using the nursing process. You will ensure patient safety, discharge planning, and adherence to Kaiser Permanente policies and standards.

The role requires ED or Critical Care experience, California RN license, and completion of Kaiser orientation. Shift is night, with 40 hours per week at the Irvine campus.

Qualifications

• 6 months recent (within last 5 years) full-time equivalent in ED or Critical Care.
• RN license within 3 months of hire for IP applicants.
• Kaiser Permanente Nursing Orientation Program required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs others through the change process; delegates tasks appropriately.
• Ensures patient safety and adheres to five rights; manages discharge planning.
• Mentors, orients, and coaches others in unit operations and patient care activities.
• Promotes customer service standards and timely response to patient calls and requests.
