Job summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care during night shifts, including assessment, planning, education and evaluation for assigned patients. You will coordinate care with other team members to maintain efficient patient flow.

This role requires an active California RN license, ongoing education, and BLS certification, with a focus on high-quality patient care and teamwork in a busy acute-care setting.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license.
• Evidence of continuing education.
• Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education.
• Current Basic Life Support Card.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care including assessment, plan of care, education and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Performs patient duties to maintain flow of patient care and coordinates delivery of care by the care team.
